It’s time for the US to say goodbye to their favorite gambling brand, Bodog. Bodog has been offering its internet casino games services to US players through the Morris Mohawk Gambling Group (MMGG). Recently Bodog announced that it would be allowing its license agreement with MMGG to expire by the end of 2011.
This announcement has come as quite a shock and it will mean that Bodog will be exiting the US market for good. After Bodog leaves the US market it will be concentrating on expansions in the United Kingdom and the emerging markets of Europe and Asia. At present Bodog has received a license from the Gambling Commission to operate from the United Kingdom.
Patrik Selin, the UK CEO of Bodog stated that receiving this license endowed the trust and credibility to the brand. This kind of trust in the brand would draw in more customers to the Bodog sites and they would be able to overcome any of the negativism that may arise due to the incidents in the United States.
